The basis for the publication of this data is Article 55 Paragraph 3 of the Industrial Emissions Directive of the European Union (IED).

The aim is to concentrate information about plants and make it accessible to the interested public in line with the publication requirements of the IED. For this purpose, the data collected by the federal states as part of the reporting in line with Commission Implementing Decision EU/2018/1135 Annex II 2.1 on plants under the IED is used, which is transmitted to the UBA. UBA informs the EU Commission about the publication.

In addition to the above information, the Excel file contains explanations of the names used in the columns.

The published data correspond to the current status (August 2022) of the reporting by the federal states to the UBA for the reporting years 2017 - 2021. The list of plants is updated every three years for all reporting years.
